MEET MARGOT CARTER

The person makes
the journey.

Margot’s tours go “ganz nah dran und mittendrin”—up close and right in the middle of Jamaica’s everyday life.

The big sights. The little moments. A fuller Jamaica.

Jamaica, as it really feels.

Margot’s original site describes an island both colourful and complex. Her small groups give guests time to meet people, hear music, taste local food and ask questions along the way.

Of course there are waterfalls, crocodiles, rum and reggae. But she never forgets the roadside shop, the market fruit and the conversation that happens when nobody is rushing.

She also helps visitors think through their holiday plans and can shape a more individual route on request.

MARGOT, THROUGH THE YEARS

The photos stayed. So did the stories.

These are photographs from Margot’s original website, followed by portraits taken in September 2026. The older images carry the people, places and little pauses that made her tours hers.

FROM THE ORIGINAL WEBSITE

Margot at the heart of it.

The van, the fruit stand, the shared lunch. The first site showed the woman behind the tours and the everyday stops she loved.

DAYS OUT TOGETHER

The island in between.

Margot kept photographs of river days, meals, small gatherings and familiar places on her site. Here is that visual archive, kept as it was.

SEPTEMBER 2026

And here she is now.

A new portrait, the same tour sign and the same curiosity. More days and new films can be added as Margot’s next chapter takes shape.

Come see for yourself.

Small groups. Personal days. An island full of stories.
